I feel like every time I get close and start to like a guy, he just turns out to just want to be a hookup. I dont want a hookup, I want a boyfriend, but it seems like no guy ever wants to be with me. I dont understand. What do I need to change about me?

You need to change nothing about yourself hon! Just look for someone to be friends with and then go from there if a relationship develops then a relationship developes! GOOD LUCK!!

You don't need to change a thing there is someone out there for everyone. You will find someone that likes you for you the ones that just want a hook up don't even waste your time with them before you actually get with one that you like lay down what you want out of it like a long term relationship or what not and both talk about it before you actually hook up because later on you might be in the marriage department. Let everything out what you want in a relationship and see what they want. There is no wrong answer just might not be the right guy for you. Watch out for the ones that just say what you want to hear. It's easy to tell if some guys are lying just look at there jaw bones see if they twitch when they talk or have them look you in the eye without moving away then you will know that they are telling the truth of what they want.

Maybe it's how and where you meet the guys, bars or clubs or other places where people go just to "hook up". Maybe you could get to know the guys a lil before hooking up or dating. find out what kind of person they are before you get attached. But I don't think you should change yourself for guys.

Learn how to be casual...not every guy that you go on a date with will be your potential boyfriend...that is why they call it "DATING".
You maybe coming on too strong and perhaps a tad desperate.
My motto before I got married was "men are like the stock market, don't put all of your eggs in one basket"

I bet you're going with the 'cool' guys aren't you?
If so, that's your problem. The best boyfriend to ever get is the one below the 'cool' guy. They are the ones who stay in a relationship because they know it's harder to get another girl (sometimes).

I know exactly how you feel..its like the only way somebody would go out with me is if they were dared to and its really hard on your self-esteem but dont worry im sure it will eventually get better.
