Windows ME is probably the worst OS ever created, its had so many security issues its impossible to count them all. Its also not very functional in my opinion.

Windows 98SE is the more stable operating system. Windows ME has alot of problems especially if you leave your PC on all the time. Its memory mangment isn't the best and because of that Me locks up often.

I suggest Windows 2000 for your older PC. Or stay with Windows 98SE.

Windows 2000. ME really doesn't work that great. You always want to get the best OS your system can handle so its secure and has more features. From what i've heard if you can run 2000 you can run XP. It may be a little slugish though.

Stay far away from ME. Windows 98SE is OK but no longer supported by Microsoft
