Parents can be overprotected sometimes. Let them sit by you guys and if your boyfriend isn't touchy or seems ok to your parents, maybe they won't be there next time. Just act like they aren't there, but don't hug or get intimate or else your parents may get suspicious and might not leave you 2 alone.

explain the situation to the guy; tell him your parents want to be there on the first date, and if he doesn't understand that, then he probably isnt someone you want to be dating. At 13, I think its still okay for your mom and dad to make sure you are safe. But, if you go to a movie that's packed, then you may end up having to sit in different rows!

Well, parents can get annoying. You should probably tell the person youre going with that you can't makeout and everything throughout the movie. You should go this one time and earn their trust. If you show them that you are responsible at the movies, you will earn their trust and maybe next time, they'll let you go without them. Or, if they don't know the person you're going out with, they probably want to meet him to see if he's a good kid or a scumbag that they don't want you dating.

Alright.. First advice, Since your parents refuse to budge and assuming they won't change their minds ( they only really care about you, that's why).. Here's one thing you can do.
Tell your date beforehand that your parents will come with you (as it may be your fist date). If he really likes you, he will still go on the date with you. When you do go to the movies this once your parents will come with you. but once they see that they can trust you and the boy, they will not come for the other dates.
Its just a matter of trust, and you and your date have to understand, they care about you.

just let them come, so they know they can trust you. Im 16 and my parents trust me and my boyfriend but 6 months ago on our first date we had to be supervised. Now we dont have to be because they know me and they know him so they let us go everywhere and hang out pretty much whenever we want. When i was your age my parents sent my brother with me. you can imagine how much fun that was. my brother being the protector he always found a way to keep the boy in line. but just let them know you have nothing to hide and they will trust you and eventually you will not need supervision. hope i helped =)

It's obvious from your statements that your parents are exactly right. You're not mature enough yet to go out alone. There's nothing wrong with going out with your parents right now. If the guy is worth your time then he won't mind either.
You should consider yourself lucky. My daughters wouldn;t be allowed to date until they were 15, and then I'd be right there.

Be thankful they are letting you go at all. It takes time to build trust, and that's what this arrangement is about. They want to get to know the guy and to see how he treats you. It's a first step, so don't complain and eventually they will be comfortable with giving you guys more freedom.

depends on how cool the guy is. if hes one of those guys that wont be cool with it then cancel. he might be the doosh that will come to school the next day and tell everyone how horrible and embarresing your parents were. believe its hapened to me. but maybe talk to him and see how he responds like "hey how would you feel if my parents came along with us" and see his facial expression, if he gets worried just be like "just kidding" so you dont look retarded. and if you reaalllllyy like him then maybe do it secretive. but think about the consequences though chick. its could ruin dating for a long time if you screw it up. just do what you think is best.
