Start going to a great hairstylist. A hairstylist that is good at what you desire and that you can trust. Use a a good shampoo and deep treating conditioner, sometimes with heat. The hood hair dryers are also healthier for your hair. Oh yeah, have good patience because it takes time.

IF YOU GET PERMS STOP AND CUT YOUR HAIR AND JUST WASH IT AND DONT BLOW DRY IT JUST LET IT AIR DRY AND YOU WILL HAVE YOUR AFRO
BUT IF YOU DONT GET PERMS AND HAVE GOOD HAIR (VERY STRAIGHT) CUT YOUR HAIR AND PUT A PERM AND IT WILL DO THE OPPOSITE WHICH WILL MAKE YOUR HAIR NAPPY ENOUGH TO HAVE AND AFRO

if u want it the cheap way buy extensions and go to a beauty collage and they will put them in for you for around 25$...not bad rite?
