Do you think that all of the problems going on with the government and with the enviorment is God's way of telling us that we need to fix the world and start with a new clean slate? I mean, think about it, he is supposed to be a savior, and maybe we messed up so bad, he is telling us we got to start over?

there have been problems in the world since the beginning of recorded history... every generation thinks theirs is the worst and the end is near.... this too has been going on since the beginning of recorded history... if anything the quality of life continues to get better around the world

No, I see it (as a Tibetan Buddhist) as collective bad karma and that it's a sign that since I don't much like the lack of altruism I'm seeing here, that I need to cultivate the causes and conditions to be reborn somewhere where I can achieve buddhahood.

Maybe Jesus is about to return and start it all over Himself.
The scriptures tell us there has to be an apostasy before He returns. Apostasy means 'a falling away'.
If Jesus came back to earth today to start His new kingdom, there would be a non-binding resolution in the congress of the United States to forbid Him from completing His mission.

I honestly don't think that we can get started again we have messed up so bad that it is impossible to fix all we have done i think that what he is trying to tell us that the world is coming to an end.

We are here on earth to grow and learn and we will if it kills us,maybe .We seem to only act if our backs are against the wall and they are so it is timeWe can either save our planet or die off and a new generation will start over.It is up to us.God will help if we help ourselves

There's nobody to "tell us" anything. Problems are problems; we can find solutions. Ironically, religion mostly stands in the way of progress of most kinds.

well yes in my religion we believe that when god sends trobles in the world means that god want us to make new good changes and be nice to each other and be come 1 big family
