Well first of all, don't be stressed. It is not helping you think about your essay. Start small and tell yourself what the National Honor Society mean to you. Why are you wanting to belong to the NHS. What are there goals and purpose for existing? How can you fit in to what they are looking for. You are a excellent student, you work hard and you get good grades. If you didn't then you would not be writing this question here on answers. Relax.. start there. Well the hours of volunteer hours could be easy. Go to your counselor at school and ask if he or she can help you volunteer for an needy organization. Good Luck

Ok take a deep breath. Then go online and research what members of the national honor society. Basically wrote about your good qualities that would make you good for the honor society. You have to find what qualities they are looking for and then find those that you have and ellaborate on them as in what you can do for them and why you deserve to be in the National Honor Society. Best of Luck! As for volunteering...find a local nursing home. Best place to volunteer and you could probably get all 9 hours in a day if you want...I did.

For those nine hours, that shouldn't be hard, volunteer at the local animal shelter for two nights for 5 hours. Write about your dedication to the community(which you obviously don't have considering you don't have 9 hours of volunteer hours to your name) So you'll have to lie, or talk about things you plan to do in the future. I also assume you're good in school, so write about that.

For the first part - write about your passion - what do you love? and how does that make yuou a better person... what will you do with your skills?

Secondly - Animal shelters, Old folks homes seem to always have need for volunteers - OR soup kitchen, food pantry or at your church.... Look there lots of places to volunteer! PS keep volunteering even when you don't HAVE to.......

I would suggest that you go volunteer at a homeless shelter, and then write your essay base on that.....your experience there.

If you need to write another essay, then write about education. How important it is. How it can cut the cycle of poverty.

Good luck.
