Cheese is made from milk and milk contains butter fat.

Skim milk is milk with the fat removed.
Cheese may be made from whole milk, skim milk, or whole milk with extra cream added.

The problem with butter fat is that it is saturated and there is a lot of cholesterol in dairy products. Both of these may cause problems for persons with cardiovascular disease.

If you are concerned about fat, use skim milk, powdered skim milk, and fat free cheese.

Yes, fat is in milk and cheese. If that bothers you, try drinking skim milk and eating fat free cheese. They don't have the taste of fattening foods, but fat is the ingredient in all foods that taste good.

Tons!!! And animal fats, too! Especially cheese.... BUT they contain many important nutrients such as calcium. If calories are not an issue, dairy products are an excellent nutritional source.
