You usually use the entire packet and it will get mixed up a bit when you squeeze it out.

With a bottle if it has settled, you may just get water when you pour off a small amount without shaking it first.

I don't really think you can shake a ketchup packet (don't get too technical on me). Even, if you did, it wouldn't have the same affect as shaking a ketchup bottle, because a ketchup bottle is definitely more shakeable than a ketchup packet.

Woah. That is quite an interesting question! lol I think you don't have to shake the packets because there's not a whole lot of stuff in there to begin with, and I know that at least some people (including me) have to work a little to get the packets to open. So when you are pulling on the sides and/or biting (ew) it, I suppose any sitting water that was in there has been 'shaken up'. btw- That was an excellent question! :-)

Ketchup packets are small and don't have a bottle to get stuck inside. So when you squeeze them, you are doing the equivalent of shaking the bottle.

u dont have to shake the ketchup packet. all u do is squeeze.
