Indeed.
Mark 14:62 And Jesus said, I AM: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. :63 Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses? :64 Ye have heard the blasphemy:...
John 8:19 Then they said unto Him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. 20 These words spake Jesus in the treasurey, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
John 8:24, "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I AM, you will die in your sins."
John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM.
Jesus rewards those who worship Him:
Mat 8:2 And, behold, there came a leper **and worshipped him,** saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
Mat 8:3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Jesus said He was God's Son. And this is what Paul says about Him in Hebrews 1 -3:
"In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe."
"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powrful word."
This is saying Jesus is the same substance as God, that He is His Son, that He helped make the whole universe and that He upholds all things. We need to give Him His rightful place and worship Him as God.

You do not say who you speak of. If you are speaking of Jesus He makes several claims to Lordship and he did not deny it when Peter and others said surely you are the Christ, the anointed one,the Messiah and the Son of God. When people say he was a good teacher but not God they are way off. If he claimed to be God,and he did,but actually was not God,then that would make him a false teacher. He has to be liar, lunatic,or God.

The Messiah is not allowed to say he is the Son of God.
Jesus refused to deny he was the messiah. The Pharasees an the Saducees constantly tried to badger him in to saying he was.
Read the prophets of the old testament.

Oh but He has said He is God many too times to count, and STILL says He is God- The Bible is His written word--and it is alive and active and sharper than any two edged sword-- as it says in Hebrews 4.
Isaiah 44:8
Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one."
Exodus 34:14
Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

You need to have a formal background in the Hebrew and Greek to know that God indeed claimed to be God as did Christ. The "I AM" of the bible is properly understood in it Hebrew and Greek to mean as much.
The Jews understood this well as they took up stones to stone Christ when he claimed this.

I know what you mean. Jesus is even quoted in the Bible saying he is not God. The concept of the "trinity" is utterly ridiculous.
Jesus was in no way God.

He knew very well he was God, and if you read the gospels, Jesus plainly says, I and my father are one, many many times!

Jesus did say He and the Father are One. So why should you go to hell for not believing?
