I went out on this date with this guy that I look at as a friend. He's 3 years younger than me, which i don't like but he's tall and dark which I love. On our date, he brought his friend along. Than later more friends joined. I really wanted it to be just us but since he's in the military and he's away from his friends, I think they might feel that he abonned them just to be with me for the night. I can't read men but I felt a little weired on out date because 1, I didn't like the style of my hair and 2, I have low self esteem about my face. I know how how young guys are. But why bring your friends along for a date. Guys and females could you all answer my question.

From what you're saying it sounds like he may not have understood that this was a date. It sounds like he thought you guys were just spending time together as friends, so he may have been operating under that old "the more the merrier" philosophy. Why not just ask him?

If he brought friend over, maybe the only one in the date was you, when a man is seriously interested in a woman, HE DOES NOT bring friend over when he has the chance to spend time alone with that woman.
In the other hand, why do you care about someone who obviously is selfish about your feelings?
Maybe it was his way to put some distance between the two of you, by bringing his friend along, you are not a date, "just another one of the guys" and that is not what you want.
MY advice? Seek somewhere else.

He's not confident. And don't worry about the way your face looks, it's your personality that keeps them there for you. ;)
