I came to learn as years pass by that things that don't go your way are usually for your own good. Whats meant to be will be, you just have to lead your own path!

Usually it's because these people come upon you when you're in the right frame of mind to accept them how they are, or see them as being better than what you already have.
Human nature.
Example: If you're in a less-than-great relationship and you meet someone that seems really great, there's agood chance that you wouldn't think as much of this person if you were single. The reason for this is that when you're single there's nothing bad to compare them to. When you're in a bad relationship, the "big-boned" guy or girl at the grocery store that smiles at you and gives you the eyes seems like the chosen one. But once you're single again, they just look like everyone else that doesn't do it for you.

I have had the same experiences. I just find it funny sometimes, because thank god I'm not the only one

YES! I hate fate... I absolutely hate that I never get to see that one guy I haven't seen for a month... We would have been good together.
But everytime I want to, and think about it, I never do.
