My boyfriend of almost 2 years sent me a text message about three days ago. This is what he sent: "Hey can i come see you before i go back i want to ask you something very important"
First thing that came to mind was that maybe he was going to propose. What do you guys think.
I also though maybe he was going to ask me if i was cheating on him. He lives far away and was visiting his hometown. I live about 20 miles away from where he is staying while in town. I have since not heard from him.

I just wanted to add that we have not been having a good relationship. It's been rocky and I sent him an email almost two weeks ago telling him i thought we should break up. So I was thinking because of that, maybe he thought of proposing and not risk losing me. I texted him back and said he can come if he wanted to.

Guys don't think like girls do. He might have wanted to know what color you think his eyes really are. Or he may have wanted to ask if you could both date others for awhile. Or he may have wanted to know if you liked his new shirt. AND he may have forgotten he even said he wanted to ask you something. Just how close have you two been that he would ask if he could come see you before he went back? That's the really weird question. I'd not hold my breath.

The male language is very complex. The first part "Hey can I come see you" means that he wants to meet with you in person. actually make contact. The next part "before I go back" means prior to his return to where he came from...the last "I want to ask you something important" mean he would like to impart a question upon you to which he believes carries some value.. If you give extreme thought to, and use some of these decoding algorithms with, the male speech dichotomies, you too can figure out the complex meanings hidden within a message from the male species.

Whatever happened to using the phone? If this message was sent 3 days ago and you haven't heard from him or you haven't answered I don't think either one of you is interested in the other.

You didn't say WHEN he was leaving OR IF you've tried to reach him at all since then.

Sadly to say, maybe he wants to break up, but you will never know unless you contact him and see what going on sweety. Why don't you try calling him and saying " babe what's up you texted me but I haven't herad from you since, I was just wondering what was going on" you can start with that!

wow you must be dieing from anticipation! he could be goin to as k you a number of things. so i would just try to forget about it so u wont get worked up over nothin. but keep in mind what you would say if he did propose. just in case.

Could be, but I doubt it..... think about it, wouldn't you rather whoever asks you to marry them PLAN something special, not just show up and ask you "Hey, wanna clean up after me the rest of your life? I think you'll do."
Really think about what you would getting yourself in for getting married... it is much easier to GET married than it is to GET unmarried.

just prepare yourself. whether bad or good news don't expect. it might be that he was hurt of the things you said to him or he might be proposing as you say if he really doesn't want to lose you. or we don't know. pray for it and be prepared.

I don't think it was about wanting to marry you. It was probably a stupid question that he was going to ask.
