He's probably scared out of his mind, but a the same time flattered that you are in love with him. Over the next two weeks you should monitor his behavior closely to look for any cues on whether he is or isn't in love with you. As for those cues, I can't help you as if you have been with him for at least 8 months you should know if he is acting strange or receptive, or just really faking it so he can continue being involved in a physical relationship...that is if one exits.

eight months....he could be thinking anything from "Oh God" to "YES!!!" without knowing the two of you or your relationship there's no way to tell
