I'm sure everybody has a reason. For me it gets boring, so I just try to give an accurate answer to a honest question.

I haven't seen atheists slander Christians. But I have been slandered by a thiest. I don't know whether he is christians though.

Apart from those who do it for fun, members of one group slander members of another group out of sheer spiritual ignorance. They will stop when they realize that their spirituality is not in their religions but in their hearts.

I'm an Atheist and i never slander ANY religion... why bother? who is to say what is right and wrong? why bother to try to convert anyone to YOUR beliefs and points of view? why not just be happy with who you are and not bother other people that are equally happy with themselves?

it is in the basic nature of man to try and to discredit what they do not agree with or do not understand. the easiest way for an ignorant mind to bring offense to a situation is to do it negatively, it will bring out all the other simple minded people who cant hold an argument to solidify their beliefs

Because we are of opposing belief systems and some
Atheists/Christians feel the need to attack the opposition
only to make their opponents stronger.
