Some peole say "I-rock" others say "I-rack" Ther is a place called iran, so your friend was probably talking about Iran, not Iraq. You can say "I rock" because it makes you feel better when you say it. If you pronounce it "I rack" guys will start looking for your rack

and about "Al Iraq " العراق ,it's the same, [Al = the in Arabic]

indeed Iraq is an Arabic country and its real name is ARAAGH
but in English language you can say ee-raak or eye-raak(both are right)
