I am trying to lose weight and I have started cutting out most meat that leaves veggies but I am not sure which ones are the best to use for a diet. I know corn is out because of the natural sweeteners so what does that leave?

And what's wrong with NATURAL sweetness? Unless you have diabetes, this should not be a problem.

You need to have 5 servings a day of veggies, so any that you like and can eat a couple times a week are the best to use for a diet. I love spinach and tomatoes, but that's me (actually, I have carrots, celery, onions, kidney beans, and corn in a crockpot right now as the base for a chicken & veggie noodle soup).

Focus on a well-balanced diet that is calorie restricted. Look for whole grains, vegetables (1 serving of corn per day is fine!), fruit, low-fat dairy products, and lean meat (6 oz. a day... fish is wonderful and high in the good fats and Omega-3s).

Remember, you need to change your unhealthy diet habits into ones that are healthy and you can eat for the rest of your life. If you like corn as a vegetable, then take this time to figure out how to incorporate this into a healthy diet.

The best vegis for a diet is:

The ones that you like! (because you will actually eat them!).

But in all seriousness, all of the green or dark green ones. The reason is that they are by nature lower in calories so you can eat more, are heart healthy and loaded with vitamins and minerals. You could eat tons of broccoli, spinach etc.!!

dark green, leafy are the most healthy:

Broccoli, spinach, lettuce, celery, etc.

Also eat carrots, green beans, peas, etc. Peas and carrots have nutrients we need in them. Green beans don't have a whole lot of those, but they have few calories--and are good for a change.
Drink V8 juice, tomato juice, etc.

Don't forget about eating fruits and drinking fruit juices.
