OMG the EXACT same thing happened to me!! what i did totally worked.... ok so the good news is out of all the colors that u could get ur hair colored, red fades the quickest. i would suggest washing ur hair with a shampoo for brunettes, like u kno those shampoos that are meant for ppl with blonde hair, red hair, brown....get it yeah ok so thatll help tone it down and also make sure u wash ur hair evry day!!!!!! at least once, twice if u want it to fade reli fast!! also, DONT use those "keep the color in" shampoos!! thats wut ur trying to get RID of!!! lol hope that helped hon! if none of this works, go get ur hair done again (at a different place!) the color that u wanted.....also for the time being, act like it was wut u wanted...lol and put it up in a pony tail or sumthin or a hat..... those snowboard hats are in...lol good luckkkk!!! xoxo, caitlyn

go back to the salon and tell them that you are unhappy with the results, sometimes they can give you a wash with the product called "malibu" (not sure on the the spelling of that) and it helps tone down the brassiness. Other than that, the reason your streaks is red is because they did not leave the bleach on long enough (you probably have a medium to dark shade hair) They did the same thing to me and I went back (the girl that did my hair was not there but another stylist said it had the red brassiness because they did not leave the bleach on long enough, the lightening goes through stages, and they should have done a strand test by wiping the product off of on strand and to see the color) I suggest going back to the salon and having them fix the problem, at NO charge

Try dandruff shampoo. On your dry hair apply dandruff shampoo, like head and shoulders to the areas you want lightened. Leave it in for about 15 minutes and wash it out. After doing this for about 3 days it should start to lighten.
My hairdresser told me this, and it works

Maybe it will tone down after you wash it a few times!
