I sent a letter first class on Friday morning from Chesterfield in England to Maryland America, when do you think it will get there? (it is VERY important!)

Friday morning and it's only Sunday now? You got to give it at least Wed.......Even if you sent it first class. It's snowing like you know what in Maryland area. So I wouldn't be surprised if your letter doesn't get there Friday.
Anyways, it's Maryland. And then you put USA, or America, not Maryland America. You also have to list a city, not just a state. What city in Maryland?

If you've sent it 1st class from England to America, it could take a while ( up to 6 weeks ) and the recipient will have to pay a surcharge as it should have been sent Airmail or International Surface Mail.

Not a postman, but i have sent letters to London taking 15 days or more to get there. I live in the Midwest in the USA.

It will have been processed in the uk within 24 hoursfrom the day you posted it.
So it should have been on the plane by Sat.
After that it is up to US mail to process. So between 2-5 days.
A week at the most!

I would guess in about 4 to 6 days. We call them letter carriers here.

ps..I used to be a postman, and I used to come twice a day before 12 noon. ha ha ha...

saturday or sunday first class is fast but considering the ice and snow your letter could never get there but chances of that are very low

It should take about one week to arrive, assuming you sent it air mail.
