5 or 6 weeks is weening time. If the new owners get the cats at that time they'll be able to bond with the kittens and the cats will likely grow to be very personable lap cats. Any later than that and you risk having cats that don't like much human contact. They'll be friendly but you just won't be able to hold them for long.

She could have people come over and play with the kittens now. Just don't let them be given away before they're weened.

The best thing is to wait until they are 6-8 weeks old. That is when weaning occurs and they are on solid food. Kittens this young need a whole lot of care, formula and constant feeding. Plus they miss out on alot of the teaching a mother cat does to her young. It's best to get her to wait another month if possible.

8 weeks is the norm, however the lady I got my kittens from worked in an animal rescue centre (although the kittens I got were her own cat's), and she said they were ready to go when they were 6 weeks old. They're now 4 and I've never had any problems with them.

i think they should be at least 6 to 8 weeks old because if the woman has the mother cat the mother should be around her kittens so they get a chance to learn from their mother. or unless the woman knows their PERFECTLY healthy and no diseases, then they could probalbly move into a new home but i wouldnt suggest giveing them away at 3 weeks old.

no earlier than 6 weeks preferably 8 they cannot be taken away before cos they are not weaned and they wont survive unless they are hand reared and u need to know what u r doing in that case cos whoever in their right mind would take a kitten that young unless they are preapared to be up every 2 -3 hours feeding them with special bottles Report this woman to rspca or cats protection league before they come to any harm if she denys she was gonna do this it might make her think twice and she shouldnt have animals in that case!!!!

8 weeks old.

a kitten learns to hunt by playing and play fighting with his brothers and sisters.

if they get took away too early like mine did at six weeks they dont know when they are being too rough because their mother never teaches them its wrong. most kittens learn this between 6-8 weeks of age.

also they wont be litter trained at that age.
