Well yes and no.
We have lots of sinuses. The ones that people think of the most, are the maxilary (behind your cheekbones) and the frontal (behind your forehead). Both of them drain via small holes called ostia into the back of your nose. The drainage then goes wherever gravity takes it. When you are lying down, usually into your throat.
Sinuses produce fluid all the time, not just when they are inflamed/infected. The fluid becomes infected when the sinuses can't drain properly.
The color of the drainage also has nothing to do with whether you have a viral or bacterial infection. The medical community has disproven that many years ago.

Well, it depends on if your nose is running. If it runs out your nose, it runs down your throat too.

yes they do and can possibly make you sick at your stomach,stay away from dairy products and if possible get a humidifier to keep the air damp so as not to dry your nose out

yes your nose is connected to your breathing tube and your breating tube is by your throat so yes.
