She as now been in heat 3 times in 6 months. I never had a dog do this. Is this normal for some females? Every time I want to get her fixed shes in heat.

I have taken her to the vet. He says there is nothing wrong but will not fix her while shes in heat. I have worked for vets and never have seen this before, ever.

I don't know what a normal heat cycle is, but I think it depends on the breed of dog. I believe you can still get her fixed when she's in heat, but it might cost a little more. Talk to your vet. A phone call doesn't cost much.

It sounds like she's having shortened interestrous intervals - meaning the interval between cycles is 4 months or less. It's mot common in young females and sometimes treatment isn't necessary. But since you're getting her spayed anyway, make an appointment as soon as she comes out so she doesn't have a chance for another heat.

find a different vet. there is something not right here. the usual heat for dogs is twice a year. from what i have heard you can spay a dog while in heat. get her checked. there could be tumors or something else causing the bleeding

No, it's not normal. If your vet tells you he can't spay her because she's in heat, make sure you tell him "Ummm this is her 3rd heat in 6 months, I think there is something wrong". If they still won't do it, find another vet!
