In honor of Pancho' question I have to add the best 130 lb. fighter of them all, Roberto at 130 lbs might have been the best the division ever produced. Props to Pancho, not the blogbaba of the question.

With due respect, it's difficult to answer your question because Duran was not a legit 130-pounder. He started his legendary career in the lightweight division, winning the 135-pound belt from Ken Buchanan in 1972. Thereafter, he began his ascent to the higher divisions, winning various alpahbet versions of the welterweight, light-middleweight and middleweight titles.

To answer your question, anyhow, I would pick Duran over Pacman, even at 130. It would be a brawl for sure, but Duran is stronger and has more punches in his arsenal, which he could throw in rapid sustained combinations. He also has knockout power in both fists, whereas Pacquiao relies on his vaunted left and has yet to fully develop or utilize his right hand. Duran had durable chin and a sound defense consisting of head movement and ability to parry opponent's punches. Lastly, Roberto Duran knew all the tricks of the trade. He would surely taunt Pacquiao and cause him to lose concentration, and when worse comes to worst, he would employ his dirty tactics to win. I predict Duran by KO in four.

I don't think Duran ever fought at 130. I'm pretty sure he started his career at 135. But a fight against Manny would've been a tremendous battle at any weight. A prime Duran would've been to much for Manny. Duran was strong, durable, and was an animal. Manny would give it his all in trying to go right at Duran and land the big left hand, But Manny isn't that good on defense and Duran would nail him with solid shots the whole fight much like Morrales did in their first fight. Duran would stop Manny in the 11th round of a brutal war.

Of course Duran was arguably the greatest lightweight champion of all time and known as the hands of stone because of his punching power at that weight. I believe we would have to have Manny come up a few pounds for this fight to take place. Manny is a fine fighter and has a good left hook but I feel that Duran would overpower him in this fight. Duran is also a great boxer and very skilled and clever. For about 6 rounds Manny would hold his own against Duran but Duran would eventually catch up to him and land a crunching right hand in the 8th round and ending a very entertaining fight.

Duran owns particularly lots all people at mild-weight, inclusive of Pacquiao. Bonus a million. 15 would not make lots of a distinction. i do no longer think of %might bypass the gap with Duran besides, and can be stopped interior of 12. Bonus 2. college is in consultation.

Duran never held a title at 130. But as a young boxer he has fought at that weight and I believe in his very early days as a pro he fought around 120 and as his career progressed he kept climbing in weight. I would assume you're matching them at the peak of their careers so I'm going to say that Duran who was known to blow up in weight between fights, Ray Arcel used to tell Freddie Brown to make sure he ran the fat off Duran when they would first get him into camp in preparation for his fights. I'm going to say that Duran pulls a Jose Luis Castillo and can't make the weight. How about Manny coming up in weight to fight for Duran's lightweight title (135lbs)?
