They never had the huge, multicar pileups before the restrictor plates. Just one or two cars flipping throught the infield. Put in smaller engines, softer tires, make the cars better handling, just lose the moronic restrictor plates...they have made things more dangerous than safe.

A softer right-side tire probably wouldn't hurt. This new tire they had this year really made cars especially hard to handle. Removing the restrictor plate might help in the short term,, but then you'd have leaders crashing into lapped traffic (or the other way around). Take Jamie McMurray out of the sport altogether would go a long way (he should have reached out and slapped the pace car driver...it's the only thing on the damned track that he didn't manage to hit).

Nothing, you could take off the restrictor plates and get some seperation between cars but they would run way to fast and some of the drivers out there cant drive at the speeds that they are going now . ( see busch brothers)

the walls of NASCAR fences arnt made out of pure cement, it is new type of foam which asorbs inpact, its a physics thing, as the human body can indure up to 67 g's, going from 200 to zero is made possible only because the foam walls, blend in about half a meter during impact lessening the force by about 75%

Remove the restrictor plates. Although they are designed to slow the cars down, it allows for more bumper-to-bumper racing.

THEY CAN TAKE OFF THE RESTICTOR PLATES SO THEY DON'T ALL RUN SO CLOSE TOGETHER BUT I DON'T THINK YOU COULD STOP THE BIG WRECKS . THESE GUYS ARE RACING FOR ONE SPOT AND ONE SPOT ONLYWHICH IS FIRST PLACE IN THE GREAT AMERICAN RACE SO THEY ARE GOING TO RACE HARD AND DO WHAT IT TAKES TO GET THERE.

they cant control the drivers so there is nothing they can do about the big pile ups, they don't want to get rid of them, cuz the fans loves them.
