I read your other question, then this one. I don't understand why parents do it either. You can discipline your kids without hitting or yelling at them. Why don't they try that? If all else fails, march their tails to the bathroom and pop them. You can hit your kids, it's not illegal. You just can't beat them, abuse them, or leave marks. When my daughter decides to start acting up in the store, best believe I will be popping her a**.
To the first chick who answered: Why should we have to leave the store, because your kids are acting like a**es? Control your kids or leave them at home. Plain & simple.
In response to the next chick: Stores & restaurants shouldn't have to spend extra money to make rooms for parents with kids. They need to kick the parents and kids out, the same way places do when teenagers are running around acting dumb in stores.

When my kids were small I tried to teach the what behavior was acceptable and what was not ( especially when we were out in public). Unfortunately my son understood but my daughter didn't and no matter what punishment was used (even the spanks) she never clued in. Most times I ended up just walking away when she threw herself down and had her tantrum.( I never went far and could always see her). It took a few more times and eventually she clued in but those moments were the most tiring times and ever so embarrassing. So, I do feel for the parents that have these children, the others however, are just plain lazy and accept this or see it as normal.
My kids are teens now and the most polite, caring and helpful individuals, it was a lot of work to get the girl there but she made it (it was a lot of work but worth the time).

I understand what you mean but talking about kids and parents your basically putting everybody in general. I control my daughter but sometimes she can throw her tantrums out in public. Kids are pretty clever since they know parents can't do certain things in public. Parents and especially kids can be perfect 24/7. Are you a parent? You were a kid once and I'm sure you acted the same way. Next, time you feel uncomfortable because a child is behaving badly just walk away. Nobody is forcing you to stand there or listen, you choose to be there.

i imagine there will be a grain of reality to that concept, yet in trouble-free terms in that *from time to time* a messy domicile is indicative of universal chaos. I have a tendency to p.c.. up as i bypass all day lengthy. when we are done with an interest/toy we placed issues away in the previous occurring to the subsequent interest. Now my 21 month previous daughter from time to time does this on her personal out of habit. when we bypass to a pal's domicile, they have a diverse philosophy - freshen up one tremendous mess on the top of play time. So, at the same time as we are there it appears that evidently highly jumbled and chaotic. i do not see my daughter behaving any in a unique way no matter if we enable it get messy or no longer. As to what your MIL is talking about... I actually have seen households that are in entire chaos (the disastrous domicile is the top of the iceberg) and the children are uncontrolled. at the same time as an effective cleansing would make each and everything 'look' ok, it does no longer fix the deeper complications....

Didn't read your previous post, but one of the things that will make me stop shopping faster than anything else is another shopper that takes their time and slow shops even though their screaming child is tearing the cart apart. That goes for resaurants, too. They should have a sound-proof section where people with small children can go. All we have to do is give my nephew "the look" and he knows if he doesn't stop it he'll be in big trouble.
