Im a 30 yr old Female. I have about 180k in investments. I make around 85-90k a year. I used to own a condo but sold it when I moved.
Now I am renting and am happy to do so until Im in a serious relationship.
But I am upset because the last 2 guys I went out with own their homes and they asked me why I am still "just renting"
Should a guy care whether I rent or own a house ?
I mena I have some money socked away and zero debt. Isnt thta good for a 30 yr old chick ?

Since your looking for a serious relationship you are probably wise to be renting. If you owned a house now you might end up having to sell it and selling a house these days is not that easy.

Consider yourself lucky that you are in the this position, and not like most of the world. When the right guy comes along then he wont care. No you are not lame for renting still, you are being smart, why buy a house, then take the chance of meeting someone who owns a home and having to decide on which house to sell and to live in! Good luck!

Don't be so hard on yourself ...
you realize the lost equity deal others are thinking upon hearing you rent.
Say you pay $1,200./mo.rent when you could be putting that much into a mortage building equity/capital
You said it zero debt and live w/n you're means is huge!!
Next step is owning you're home forget about what ohers say do it for yourself building towards retirement.

You bet it is babe. A house is a pain in the butt. Just invest your money and don't listen to those guys.
