You get back home and with in minutes its as if you never been away !?

welcome to the wonderful world of parenting. you may never have a "restful night's sleep" again! your kids need you, they'll miss you but when you come back they still need you. that won't ever stop! parenting= zero breaks! but they love ya!

Because nothing has changed while you've been away - it's still the same old same old. I don't know about you, but I'd suspect my kids were up to something if they were extra nice to me!! Just make the most of the little time you have to yourself ( it does make you appreciate it all the more when you have kids ), and recharge your batteries while you can.

I'm thinkin you mean Kids. Well you're lucky, last time I was away from the kids was 4 years ago on my honey moon. I've not had one since, tell me the secret I'd love to know

They are just soo excited to see you! But the truth is that life is life and it just goes on. Be thankful you had some time alone, and that you rebuilt your energy and part of yourself while gone. That will help you, whenever you're stressed, to just close your eyes for a second and remember, but then open them quick! Lest a frisbee knock you over!

My wee man was away for the night last night and we were really well rested, picked him up and BAM back to reality!

ohhh way to burst my bubble. My daughter went for a sleepover at Grandma's last night. My husband just went to go pick her up. It is so nice and quiet right now as our baby is sleeping right now (and does all night long) Enjoy it while I can eh? LOL

Because you come back to the same scenes and the tension is still there. Maybe even more stressful because they want your attention twice as much since you were "missing".

coz it their job to hound you, they have an internal switch that clicks on as soon as you walk over the threshold of your home,especially if the babysitter has said the cursed words "they've been as good as gold" then you know you're in for it BIG TIME!
