ok so i have this problem ALL the time. u just set a certain time to start cleanin ur room then like clean for like 20 minutes then take a 10 minute break then just do it again and with the space in between u will get it done way before u know it and the time will be gone

Just clean it! As I tell my kids, in the time you spend thinking of ways to get out of it you could have already been finished!!

Do the things that are most noticeable first, like picking up dirty laundry.
Place shoes in neat stack.
Discard large pieces of paper.
Make up the bed.
