Do you think it is ok to date with a guy thats 17 when you are only 13?

Hi. You're probably very mature for your age, thus the reason a 17 year old is presumably asking you out. HOWever, at this age I think you should take a pass. I just think that though the emotional maturity may be there, he just may be more street smart at this stage of both of your lives.

No, it's absolutely not ok! Even though 4 years isn't that much of a difference when you're an adult - a 13 year old is in a way different place than a 17 year old. 17 year olds are generally sexually active and 13 year olds are not (or at least they shouldn't be). If I was your parent I would never allow this.

I can understand that you like him, I remember when I was your age I would have been chuffed to know a 17-year-old fancied me.
However, you need to check what he is after. Many 17-year males will only date girls they intend to sleep with. Now you really need to ask yourself, is he really that special to you? When I first decided I was ready to do "naughty things" I chose the man I knew truly loved me and as I was madly in love with him, after 3 months of dating I thought it was right to give him the most precious present in the world. Believe me, guys may say that they like girls who have a lot of sexual experience but deep down they often can't settle down with girls who have slept a lot. The person you will marry later on will prefer to hear that you have slept a) later that at 13 b) only with men you had a steady relationship/were madly in love with.
We girls are labelled "sluts" far too easily, so make sure that 17-year-old boy doesn't try to make you do anything you will regret later on.
Have you thought of talking to an adult who knows him? Maybe a teacher or the school nurse if he went to the same school as you? They will give you advice without telling anything to anybody.

uh hell no im 13 and i would never dat a guy who's 17. first of all becuz i can tell u without even meeting him dat he's a pervert and a playa if he's willin to date a 13 year old and the only thing he's gonna want out of u is sex plus he probably has lotz of other gurls u dont kno about so if u do your only gonna get hurt

well i dont think you should because you r too young to be dating someone that old. 15 would be ok but 17s not, but if u think he is the one i guess. you should find out if he feels the same way though.

no definitley not 13 is to young, he will be so much more experienced in life than you and could take advantage, if you do go on a date with him then don't let him persuade you into doing anything you don't feel comftable with, even if you think he will be annoyed if you say no. You have your whole life ahead of you to start doing all that dating stuff

NO I am 13 and I like a guy exactly 1 year yoounger than me... you must NOT be thinking if you even want to.. he will probably get you pregnant and then you will have a baby at fourteen DONT do it stay young while you can!!

Not really, 4 years is a big difference at that time of your life, and he may pressure you to do things you shouldn't be doing at that age.
If you ignore this and go forward, be very careful, as you could be the one that ultimately gets hurt.

Dating at age 13 to me is too early. That's my story & I'm sticking to it.
