WHEN YOU FIRST START TO FEEL THE ITCH, PLACE AN ICECUBE OVER THE SPOT FOR 10 MIN. AND REPEAT THIS IN 20 MIN. DO THIS OF ABOUT 1 HOUR. THIS WILL REVENT THE ERRUPTION INTO A FULL-BLOWN SORE.
IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A SORE PUT SOME ABREVA (AVAILABLE IN PHARMACIES, WALMART, ETC.)

Take some "alum" from the kitchen or spice area of the grocer Crush the bead(s) with a spoon. lick the end of your finger for moisture to pick up the powder. Hold the alum over the canker with the alum on it until the sensation ends. Repeat once or twice a day (depending on the severity) until gone. Will usually be gone in 1-3 days (usually 2)
* cankers suck and I used to get them as a teenager this always got rid of them fast and killed the pain until they were gone. the alum will cause some discomfort while applying it but it's worth it to get rid of it.

Go to your local drug store and ask your pharmacist to direct to you to some canker sore medicine. It is just some numbing stuff, my brother uses "Kanka" and it works well.
- Good luck... I had one about a week ago after getting braces and they hurt badly.

If you can handle the pain, lick your finger, dip it in salt and apply directly to the sore. It will sting, but the sore should go away within a day.
