It doesn't seem like it is. I got the same offer for an ESPN card, and I went online and filled it out.

Although if they actually state something to the effect of wamucreditcard.com then probably, since that web address doesn't exist, the correct one would be wamucards.com.

You can always call Washington Mutual and find out, I know that they do have other companies that help them sign people up for their credit cards, it could be one of those.

Washington Mutual is a real company and they do offer credit cards. Did the offer come with the page of disclosures? If it looks official, it probably is, and they have probably already checked your credit, if it says 'pre-approved.' The potential problem is, that although the offer may say something like 9.99% APR and 0% until 2008 or some such, once you contact them you might qualify for 19.99% interest or something...so you really have to take those credit card offers with a grain of salt and do research. I recommend http://bankrate.com/ and click on the tab that is for Credit Cards. It will help you shop around for the right card for you. I have found them to be very unbiased and the site is fantastic.

As far as I'm concerned, the entire credit card industry is a scam. That said, the card you mention seems to be as legitimate as any.
