No I'm not talking about the Bible -- I didn't ask "Do they carry a concealed ancient anthology of absurdities and magical stories?" now did I?

C'mom just answer the freakin question, church people!

(Ephesians 6:11,17) Put on the complete suit of armor from God that YOU may be able to stand firm against the machinations of the Devil...Also, accept the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, that is, God’s word

(Isaiah 49:1,2) Jehovah himself has called me even from the belly. From the inward parts of my mother he has made mention of my name. And he proceeded to make my mouth like a sharp sword.

(Hebrews 4:12) For the word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints and their marrow, and is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart.

No, I'm baptist and last time I checked, I do not carry a sword around. Except for the word of God. People have so many misconceptions about Baptists, (and Southern Baptists like me). They think we can't wear make up, cut our hair, or wear pants; however, that is completely false. We don't go door to door trying to "recruit" people, and we are really nothing at all like Jehovah's witnesses. We believe very differently. And I don't think they carry swords either. Let me know if you have other questions

WOW never heard that one before. I, at least as a general rule, know that I do not carry concealed weapons around. I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I am sure there are probably some who are at some level affiliated with either religion who at some point carried weapons. Their is not religous rule that I am aware of in support of this, if that is what you were asking.

The only sword the witnesses carry is God's word. The Holy Bible
Hebrews 4 verse 12 says, For the word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints and their marrow, and is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Lol...never heard that one before. Seems like every sect has weird stories told about it.

In the Sikh religion from northwest India, men are supposed to carry daggers at all times, wear turbans and never cut their beards. You see a lot of these guys in the U.S. nowadays, immigrants doing everything from computer programming to driving cabs. I'm not sure if they all carry daggers, but I'll bet many do.

Of course it's true! The sword is the word of God, which is the Bible. They may carry it in their briefcase, purse , or bible case. That is what I call concealed. The sword is what it takes to fight to win souls, and to fight the devil.
But to answer your actual question, you know that know one carries a metal sword these days, not even JW's or Baptists.

Yes, they carry a sword, but it is not concealed, it is plain for all to see. It is the sword of God, otherwise called the Bible.

Well, half of my family are Jahova's and the other half are Baptist (I personally am agnostic) and none of them have ever carried swords. Where does that idea come from? Never heard that.
