Call your lien holder and tell them that you would like to "Defer my car payment for one month"
This is an alternative for someone who is having a money problem.
What they will do is that they will "forgive" one month's car payment and extend your loan to 61 months instead of 60. I've done it in the past.
Before you go dismissing this advice, I suggest you try it. You will see.
Good Luck.

Most finance companies will only re-posses the car if you have not made any effort at all to pay, whether it is the correct amount or not. Phone them and see if they can restructure your account to bring you back up to date.

Call the finance company and work out a plan to get caught up. They are much more understanding if you are up front with them and let them know what you can do to get caught up.

phone the finance company see if they can suggest anything, if they
are not very helpful and you are going to be in the same situation next month, you can ask if you could sell it through a garage, they probably wont let you do it private. good luck

You might get advice if you put down what it is you want to know.
