You need a REALLY rich conditoner. (Check the ingredients, if the first ingredient is water get something else) Dont wash your hair every day, but DO condition every day. I use one shampoo and four conditioners, try hair masks also. Neutrogena and Frederick Fekkai have good products for that. Also take hair and nail vitamins, which contain the kind of protein needed for healthy hair.

When you wash your hair, towel and air dry, or ionize it, never blow dry it.

Also every time you wet your hair use a leave in conditioner, like Infusium 23 or Pantene. And trim your ends every 4-6 weeks so that split ends dont go up your hair shaft and damage more hair.

Dont put it in super tight ponytails or braids for too long. And if you flat iron or press it, use a protective oil first.

Perhaps it has been over processed??

You are doing the correct thing. Winter indoor heating is nasty for all hair types, particluarly hair that has been processed in any way as the procedure really sucks the life out of your hair.

Keep on doing this. You may end up needing a little trim.

Good luck.

You need a trim. i know that you may be trying to matain length but you have two options.
1. get a nice heathly trim
2. allow your hair to keep breaking
