Go to ebay and see the little outfits they make, usually with fleece? It's basically made to look like a coat?
You can easily use other fabrics, and not even have a pattern to make those!
Just use paper to cut out a pattern you think would work, then use that to cut the fabric for your dog, allowing for seams of course.
Also, baby clothing can fit dogs :)
Lastly, there are lots of sites that have free patterns, especially for collars!
Or make a bandanna, make a pile of them with fabrics you like. Fold under those raw edges, and use velcro to open and close!
