Because PASSOVER (chapter 12) was God's "pattern" or illustration of our coming salvation through His Son, the Lamb of God, Y'shua,....
Israel was told to take a lamb and put its blood on the outside of their door and then stay inside, UNDER the blood, as a protection
UNTIL the death angel had PASSED OVER.
For the FIRST passover, it was a lamb for a house and ONLY the first-born in the home was at risk of dying, man and animals,
but NOW, it is for EACH and EVERY one of us -- mankind only -
and the BLOOD is through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
Imagine the blood on each side of the door and overhead...If you
turned your back against the door and stretched out your arms, it would be as if you were on a cross.....just as Jesus was...for US!
God said in Exodus 12:13, WHEN I SEE THE BLOOD, I WILL PASS OVER YOU!!!
This is my FAVOURITE and most special verse in ALL of God's Word and EXODUS is one of my FAVOURITE books, along with the gospel of John.
In God's "COURTROOM" -- i will plead NOTHING but the BLOOD
of the LAMB for my eternity, just as I plead the BLOOD for my protection from satan now in this world. This verse is so precious
to me and has become an "anchor" for my soul...The BLOOD is
the end of all feelings and doubt, whatever.....
Also as part of the Passover feast, there is the cup of redemption,
and the unleavened bread which also portrays the redemption that will come through Y'shua -- Joshua in English - means SAL-EVATION. ("Jesus" is only the LATIN translation of His Name).
"BLESSED ARE YOU, O LORD OUR GOD, KING OF THE UNIVERSE WHO BRINGS FORTH BREAD FROM THE EARTH,"
This blessing and praise to God speaks to the RESURRECTION
of His Son from the dead as PROOF of God's ETERNAL satis-faction and ACCEPTANCE of the sacrifice that His Son would someday make on the cross.
Y'shua is our PASSOVER LAMB....Without spot or blemish....
and before the passover lambs were slain that night in Egypt, they were kept by each family for like three days, so that when the
lambs were slain, there would be attachment and love for the innocent lamb that had to die for their protection from the angel of death and judgment.
Go to ZOLA LEVITT Ministries and also SHEMA YISRAEL and JEWS FOR JESUS if you would like to know about the import-ance and meaning of Y'SHUA in Passover.
Notice -- Y'shua gave His life for us at Passover, not in July or December or October....He BECAME our PASSOVER....
But YOU (each person) needs to TAKE His BLOOD by APPLY it
to your life by faith by receiving Him as your Savior, YOUR pass-over Lamb for all eternity -- and God's judgment will PASS OVER
you for ALL eternity!!!!!!!! :-)
Israel going through the RED SEA is symbolic of believers leaving
the PAST behind and going into the NEW LIFE through Y'shua, leaving the BONDAGE of satan's kingdom and control -- and re-ceiving SALVATION by grace through faith!!!
YOU BECOIME A NEW CREATURE...OLD THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY......YOU WILL BE BORN AGAIN,...... :-)

Whether they admit it or not; Exodus 1-19 should be 'binding on today's Christians. Further, the actual 'exodus' is symbolic of what we leave (physical Egypt) to enter into later (physical; the promised land).

Nearly all of the OT was included in our bibles to show God's love, and that he means what he says.
God doesn't plan, he purposes, and he has shown time and again he will do exactly as he says.
The bible is a significant volume of history come true.
Regardless of opinions and atheists

Hmm shouldn't it be more important to Jews as it was part of OT. Christians disagree with a lot that was said in Exodus.

It is a picture of the true Christians leaving this world.
Egypt is a depiction of the world.
The Jews, God's chosen people.
The world enslaves people. Drugs alcohol sex food whatever.
When you are born here you are a slave. You have to work.
The Bible is written in word pictures.
In the fall we lost the ability to understand the word pictures.
Exodus--the leaving. OLAY!

The Jewish nation left Egypt to get out of bondage. Many miracles happened then too.

God brought the people out of slavery. They walked for 40 years to get to the place God promised to them. What faith they had in God!
