Last year I bought Proactiv and it worked great for a year, but for some reason my skin is all of a sudden very dry now and I'm getting more break outs. It's like Proactiv stopped working or something!

I don't know if Proactiv is too strong for me, since I have very sensative skin, or if it's just the cold weather. Can someone tell me what's going on? I also would like to have clear, glowing skin. Is there a better product that could give me that?

If you have sensitive skin, Proactive may not be the best choice. It made my skin red, dry & break out even more, and that was after months of using the product. Try to find a product that contains no frangrance, no soap (there are facial bars & cleansers w/o soap - soap dries out the skin & clogs pores) and that is hypoallergenic & non-comodogenic (doesn't clog pores). There are many products I can recommend that I use personally, but they're organic and not cheap ... so if you go to even WalMart or Target, you can probably find something that fits the descriptions I've given you that will help. Aveeno or Purpose are two I can think of right now.

I've been suffering for a while with acne as probably you have too. I haven't tried Proactiv but I recently started (a few months ago) using Olay daily facial scrub with the SPF 15 moisturizer and it's been working great. It's very good on sensitive skin and it doesn't leave your face dry. It could also be the cold weather that is causing your skin to to be dry. Maybe you should try a SPF 15 moisturizer.

Soothing Skin Clarifier (for minor acne flare-ups)

Mix 1/2 cup warm water with 1/4 teaspoon salt. Using a cotton ball, apply directly to blemish. Maintain pressure with cotton ball for several minutes, to soften blemish. Using a cotton swab, dab honey on blemish; leave on 10 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.

Firming Facial Mask

Whisk together 1 tablespoon honey, 1 egg white, 1 teaspoon glycerin (available at drug and beauty stores) and enough flour to form a paste. Smooth over face and throat. Leave on 10 minutes. Wash off with warm water.

PH Balancer
3 cups distilled water
1/3 cups apple cider vinegar
5-10 drops Sweet Violet oil
Combine water and vinegar and oil. Pour into a clean decorative decanter and store in the bathroom.

You should get some Proactive to take care of that, but be aware that if you don't use it one day more acne will appear.
