Some of the many similarities are:
There is only One True God
We are not to worship any other gods
Many Old Testament prophets were from God
Jesus was from God
It appeared to all that Jesus died on the cross
God gave the Torah, the prophets, and Gospel
We are to obey God’s words
We should surrender/sacrifice ourselves to God
Jesus will return
God will resurrect all for judgment.
Believers who die will go to heaven and live forever
Disbelievers will go to hell to be punished forever
It is important to pray to God
We should help the poor

Islam has 4 religious texts. The Torah, (the first 5 books of the Old Testament) the Psalms of David, (also in the Old Testament) the Injeel (Arabic for the New Testament) and the Koran. (Mohammed's Teachings)
Islam does acknowledge Jesus as a prophet and His teachings are part of official Islamic doctrine. However, the belief that many Muslims have been taught by the clerics is that all texts (excluding the Koran) have been corrupted by either the Jews or the Christians.
That is the biggest bridge I know of between Islam and Christianity.

ud5 The is a communicate that could bypass on for hours, yet enable me make it so easy as conceivable. Christianity, even the 1st point out of a Christian, become stated for the duration of a time whilst the apostles nonetheless lived, and after Pentecost whilst they have been crammed with the promised Holy Spirit. The apostle Peter hence began the Christian church. So we are conversing extra or less 2000 years in the past, nonetheless the Gospel of God (Jesus Christ) spanned a era of a million,500 years. Christianity took no longer something from the religion Islam. Islam, nonetheless some declare began far until eventually now, is evidenced decrease back to 610 A.D. with the help of a guy, called the prophet Mohammed. There e book that i assume you may say is tantamount of the Christian Bible, and that i won't be in a position to spell it out, by using fact i'll be corrected, in view that there are approximately 20 distinctive spellings for it. Mohammed become approached with the help of an angel, Jibril (Gabriel), who study a revelation to him, and from there, with the aassistanceof others, and at a time whilst polytheism (concept in many ddeities reigned, and there become a desire of a monotheistic god, Islam took shape, slowly yet incredibly into between the biggest religions of the international in the present day. i don't comprehend how, yet lots of what's in the e book of Islam has Christians foundation, >> Mary, Jesus----in all places. some Muslims may even say that the two Christians and Muslims worship the comparable God. The Muslim god is termed Allah. Mohammed become his prophet. ______________________________________... Islam become based seven-hundred years after the existence of Christ.

Both religions were preached by men considered to be prophets. They both promote the concept of eternal life with reward or punishment. They both have an unusual
sensitivity to the issues related to women and sex, bringing a rather negative perception of both.
In both religions, women have a secondary role, especially in Islam, where their role is much more submissive and humble.
For the same reason, there is an unusually strong male dominance in both religions.
In both religions there is a very strong general philosophy that appears to apply more strongly to the historical context of the first and seventh centuries, such as Roman domination and Mohammed's wars, and less to contemporary times.
Most of their preachings tend to bring us back to those ancient historical times, at the expense of
current issues. Those are my personal views. For a more complete discussion there are many web sites on Google on this subject.

that the similarities between Christianity and Islam are their mutual respect for knowledge and humility. Both also share their understanding that the life of this world is neither the purpose nor pinnacle of human existence, rather the next world, the life after death, is the final objective for which we were created.
Similar to Christians, Muslims also believe in Jesus (peace be upon him) as the "Christ"; "Messiah"; "Logos"; and "Miraculous Conception". Then his mother, Mary (May Allah be pleased with her), is held in the utmost respect and is considered one of the most pious and beloved women of Allah to walk the face of the earth.
Muslims believe as well in all of the previous Biblical prophets and the original scriptures that they brought. This is such as the original Torah, as it was reveled by Allah to Moses (pbuh), the Psalms as reveled to David (pbuh), and the Gospel as reveled to Jesus (pbuh). Muslims also believe that God is Merciful and Just to His creatures; He is both Transcendent and Imminent in His qualities and attributes.
The most fundamental difference between Christianity and Islam is in the nature and role of Jesus (peace be upon him) and thereby the nature of God. Muslims hold Jesus to be a prophet of God, and an extremely important one at that. He was sent by Allah as the final prophet to the House of Israel, with very powerful miracles to prove his legitimacy beyond any doubt.
However, he is not considered the son of God. In fact, Muslims don’t ascribe any partners or sons to Allah. If a Muslim has any need or problem, he or she asks for help from God alone and directly and not through any intermediaries – this is the foundation of the Islamic faith.
The concept of trinity is completely foreign to Islam.
Another point of difference between Islam and Christianity is in the concept of original sin.
