I have two male cats, both from the same litter. They are 4 years old. Recently my little sister just got a kitten for her birthday! It's a female cat and she is only 10 months old. I have tried everything I can think of to try to introduce them, but my boys are a little on the skittish side, and the girl cat really wants to get in thier face. The hiss and scratch at her and then fight with each other! I am really at a loss on how to bring them together so our house can have peace heh. Thank you for your help!

I recently went through something similar so I understand how you're feeling. I had kept my new kitten separated from the other 2 because he kept being beat up. I began to feel guilty that he was in a separate room. I was told that the longer you keep them separated, the harder it will be for them. So I let him out but kept careful watch and had a squirt bottle in hand. They will eventually get used to each other. A good time also to introduce them is at feeding time. It seems all cats get along when there's food being given to them. Be patient and best of luck with the new kitty!

A Vet suggested this to me when experiencing similair compatibility issues with Xgirlfrinds cat before she moved in. Rub you're new 10 month old kitten with a towel to familiarize the 4yr. old brothers with her scent in addition to kitten hair on sisters clothes. Females are aggresive to their own territory so a zone for her and a zone for the boys then 2 Switzerlands (neutral zones) for food/water and 2=litter box .
If sleeping patterns with cats in same bed is not an issue ignore following. When cats interupt you're sleeping
then they sleep outside until behavior improves and welcomed back to the bed. Squirt gun works best vs. newspaper and yelling. Cats respond better with a controlled tone emphasizing voice inflection/diction for highlight

when i brought a new kitten home, I set him up in the bathroom with a litter box, food, water, a warm blanket, and a few toys. Do you have a baby gate? This works great as your new cats can see and smell the new one but cant hurt her. It takes time but within a week, my 2 cats were friendly to each other, and now play and sleep together sometimes.

I've used this trick before, and it seemed to help: Pick out a perfume or cologne, and put it (the same one) on all three cats, on the back of their head and neck so they can't lick it off.
Cat's identify family vs. stranger by smell, and this may help rush the process of aquaintance along.
Be present when they are allowed in the same rooms. Whenever you are away, close the new cat in a separate room.
Other than that, all I can recommend is time. Eventually they will all smell familiar to one another.

first of all get your males fixed if not already otherwise they will fight over the female, second of all if you have a kennel or carrier of some sort put the female in this for a few hours and let the males sniff aorund the outside of it so they can get used to her..after awhile, then let her out and let them sniff her while not being caged...if you have 2 unfixed males with a female (whether fixed or not) the males WILL fight and they will start to mark their territory

slowly, carefully, let them fight a little, let them get used to each other by letting them in the same room,, it may be "FUN",,,but it sounds like, ya gotta....
