I love the dulux colour "Labrador sands" from their colour card collection. You would have to go to their mixing desk in B&Q or other and get it mixed. Labrador sands no 3 or if your brave no 2. I've tried both and you can match any colour with them. No 3 is a really warm natural colour slightly darker than plain magnolia but much warmer. If you apply it in vinyl silk its much easier to wipe clean. Good luck

I always find that colours come out much darker than I was expecting. Try getting a similar colour a couple of shades lighter. Creams and off whites always look nicer than darker tones. If you want something a little stronger, try an accent wall (a chimney breast or similar feature wall). You also need to consider whether your room faces north or south. Light from the north tends to look bluer so try a more yellow or red base in a north facing room.
Good luck

I have returned to the 1980's and have painted my lounge Magnolia. It's a flat matt (Crown I think) and it looks really great. I have a dark brown leather suite and a honey colour carpet and loads of people have commented on how nice it looks! Nice and fresh!
Try it

I love Dulux quartz. It is a grey colour which I think is quite contemporary. If you have it mixed for you, you could choose the depth of grey. It goes well with silver accessories.

mine is a dark beige and beige cream on the top it looks really warm. I went for darker and it looks wicked, don't be scared of colour, its not like you cant get rid of it. You can add accent colours then in your accessories, cushions and paintings.

Its got to be Magnolia or another cream/beige shade..... You could try painting the chimney breast (if you have one) a more striking colour to remove the boredom.

Dulux do a nice biscuit colour which might go nice on one or two of the walls coupled with a cream or beige..although beige is such a rubbish colour! I would go with cream and biscuit. valx
