It seems like lotion is lotion for the skin, whether it's for the face or body. Skin is skin. Or is it just a marketing thing?

Hi Body lotion is usually a more moisterizing content which could be used on the face if your skin is normal to dry but only now & then.

If you have combination to oily skin, you wouldn't want to use moisterizing cream on your face.

Its not just marketing although I see why you'd think so:

Think of your face like material: Your eye area is cashmere, your face is 100% cotton & your neck & your body are more like canvas or denim.

Usually face lotion doesnt have as many oils. They also may contain some sort of acne preventative or elastin. Skin on your face is more sensitive than skin on your body (well most of it). Its also more prone to blemishes, which I think we can all agree suck.

i think of there is easily a huge distinction between the two. the floor on your face is a lot diverse and mushy to declare the floor on your elbows. i think of physique lotion would be a techniques too clogging on your facial pores. it incredibly is an identical for physique cleansing soap vs. facial cleansing soap. the floor at something of our physique can take a super sort of positioned on and tear and tear while in comparison with our faces.

no. most of the time lotion for your body is heavier since your skin is "thicker" on your body. if you put that on your face, you can make it very oily.

mostly marketing, but some skin lotions are heavier and greasier than what you'd put on your face.
