i know that they are canceling 800 flights but why ?

Extremely bad weather is the problem. In some parts of New York there is over 12 feet of snow. JetBlue is canceling flights but they are giving full refunds plus free flights. Wish I could take advantage of this.

The bad weather on the East Coast last week started a vicious cycle of cancellations, then planes not being able to get to where they're supposed to pick up passengers, then the crew not getting the legally mandated hours of rest... here's the story:
