If he seems healthy he likely is. These birds get lighter as they get older (generally). The greyest ones will sometimes be pearly white in adulthood. When in doubt, talk to your vet.

most cockatiels change color when the molt it is a fact of life if you have a male pearl cockatiel it will probally be all grey buy his first molt girls on the other hand stay pretty much the same except for starting to lay eggs a few months after there first molt relax take it easy if this didn't happen you would have a problem he will be fine!

when animals like birds mature they change colors.

deers when they are babys have spots to blend in better and grow out of them the more brilliently colored th emore easyer they are to spot by mates... they dont want to have mated whrn there young its also like predature wil see them more and they need to fly away and have experience

my male cockatiel was all grey with bright orange cheeks when he was a baby now at well going on three years his head is yellow with his orange cheeks and his wings are white he is handsome and healthy

as long as your cockatiel is acting healthy i wouldnt worry

he will molt soon to so dont be to shocked as they do this several times a year with bigg temperture changes as well

he is growing up and maturing
