they started manufacturing a 16 valve V-8 in their production cars. Has Nascar bent the rules just so Toyota could get into the Cup race?
P.S. This has nothing to do with my question but I am gettin sick of hearing Darrell and his stupid "Toyota has 7000 people employed in the States makin Toyotas! GEE! What a large amount of jobs Toyota has helped to creat!

Jerman, 7000 employees in an auto factory doesnt rate Cup Car status in MY book! I agree that for the most part, the greedy workers have cut their own throats demanding ridiculous wages! 25 bucks an hour for snapping a windshield wiper blade on a car is TOO much but they still employ a far larger amount of people in this country than Toyota! You keep on buyin your foreign junk! Think of how you are helpin the American economy when you do too!

Darrell is just trying to mollify the racefans who are incensed that there is a foreign automaker in NASCAR, the AMERICAN tradition. Not to mention that the Big Three are hurting anyway, why throw dirt on their coffins.

Write Darrell and tell him how many thousands of American jobs were lost before that happened....

He's just pointing out the facts. Does it bother you beacuse you drive one of those sorry "American" vehicles that really arent' that American? Toyota and Nissan, better then your vehicle, and more American. Sad, but true.

Foriegn junk? I dont think so bud. I've owned a Nissan Frontier and now a Titan for 5 years, and had to do nothing more then change oil and filters, wipers, haven't even blown a lightbulb. Can you say that for your "American" car? Doubt it.
