Cause forever is a really long time. Hardly anyone stays together forever anymore. People grow and change there is no guarantee that you won't stay together or that you will. I think it is normal to wonder and that is all he was doing.

if he was happy and cool he might said this to be sure u love him or u want to be with him .
if he was sad or lying to u . he maybe was embarrassing u and making fun of u . get it ?

guess he was trying to find out how you really feel about him. no one really knows why anyone says anything without asking the person that said it. and sometimes we don't even know exactly why we say certain things.

to me that sounds like a desperate answer. like hes trying to manipulate u or something. sounds to me like he really cares about u but at the same time sounds like he's using u.
