Damn! This is an explosive fight! This is even better than Marciano vs. Tyson. Frazier and Tyson are both powerful. While Tyson has the edge in speed and chin. Frazier has the edge in defense and stamina. Both men are equal in the power department.
It is not easy to choose a winner in this fight. This fight wouldn't last the distance if they fought a hundred times! This would be a classic and may produce the most explosive fight in heavyweight history. This would overshadow Ali-Frazier 1 because this would result in a knockout. I don't see this fight going over 6 rounds. In choosing a winner, I think it would be TysonTKO4Frazier.
This is basically a mental cointoss.

The blogbaba is not a big Tyson fan, Mike would have bobbed into a left hook that would have ended it early. If Holyfields left hook could expose Tyson and KO Iron Mike, Frazier's would have probably done it quicker, and with more lasting effect.
Mike would have had a punchers chance against anyone when he was young, but simply lacks the heart to be mentioned with the "greats". Joe is one of the greats, there is no way Frazier would have quit on his stool, he was trying to stagger out for Rd. 15 when Futch stopped the fight in Manila. We all remember Mike's last fight, he ended his career against an aging club fighter in the worst possible way. He quit.
Frazier within 3 rounds.

Interesting question. The fact still remains that Tyson really never beat a top notch fighter in his career (excluding a frightened Mike Spinks) getting pummeled by Holyfield and Douglas and there was nothing fluky about these fights as the better men beat Mike. Joe Frazier on the other hand did beat the great Muhammad Ali and a level of compettion higher than Mike. Mike could punch but could he take it and come back> Joe Frazier did and many times. I believe this would have been a real war with both men landing very hard punches. In about round 7 of a good fight Smoking Joe lands his vaunted left hook and down goes Tyson! Fight over!

Since Tyson struggles to take a punch at times it would be interesting if Frazier could get that left hook on Tyson 's chin or the temple area of the head. Frazier unfortunately fights coming forward due to his lack of height and this plays into the hands of Tyson. In this case it is much like Frazier's 2 losses to Foreman and Ali were done.My pick is Tyson in a 3rd round TKO. If the fight goes beyond 5 rounds ,Frazier would probably win by a narrow decision or late tko.

Frazier. Tyson never beat a determined, primed, top-notch heavyweight. Let's face it, it took alot of guts and courage to beat Smokin Joe. Tyson had neither. Frazier ko 10.

Interesting matchup. I think that Tyson and would make it into a slugfest and Tyson would slowly wear down Frazier. I am guessing that Frazier would get tired and catch a big uppercut which would end the fight. Tyson KO 7

are these people crazy...? no brawler could beat mike tyson in his prime...if you can't box him and get him past 7 or 8 rounds your done. joe would have been smokin alright, only because the fire had just been put out.....fight over in the 3rd round.

Frasier considering only Ali and Forman could beat him in his prime, and an unmotivated Douglas destroyed Tyson in his. I'm having trouble understanding the question.
