I've had several people tell me that they don't like the way Christians "recruit" our young people into their theistic lifestyle.
I was wondering, do they only recruit at certain times of the year?
Do they have a quota?
Are there recruiting centers?

Whenever and wherever christians try to convert unbelievers, they are recruiting. This in itself is not so bad, as it usually gives the unbeliever an opportunity to deconvert christians in the course of the conversation as well. The problem comes about when the christian refuses to accept the 2-way conversation (because what an unbeliever is saying represents satan's plan) and resort to preaching rather than discussing. When they preach, there is no conversation. It is a tedious one way lecture.

Where can you find pleasure, search the world for treasure,
learn science, technology?
Where can you begin to make your dreams all come true
on the land or on the sea?
Where can you learn to fly, play in sports or skindive,
study oceanography?
Sign up for the big band or sit in the grand stand

In the Navy, can't you see we need a hand.
In the Navy, come on, protect the motherland.
In the Navy, come on and join your fellow, man.
