But now look at this scumbag throw our troops into harms way like it's no big deal. You think if his daughters were inlisted he might think twice about his cowardly actions in Iraq?

Absolutely he is...thanks for asking this question. George Bush is the biggest back stabbing, dishonorable scumbag to ever occupy the white house....and Iraq for that matter.

It's now well established that George W. Bush never showed up for National Guard duty for a period of approximately one year, possibly more, in 1972-1973. Despite all the talk about "honor and dignity," Bush seems to have a problem meeting his commitments.

"Those of us who were in the military wonder how it is that someone who is supposedly serving on active duty...can miss a whole year of service without even explaining where it went," said [Senator John] Kerry.
(Source)

Bush says he's released all his records...if that's true, then has anyone seen:

Any pages from Bush's flight log
Records from the Flight Inquiry Board convened after Bush was suspended as a pilot
Any evidence of Bush's reclassification into another AFSC after suspension as a pilot
Any photos of George Bush in a military uniform after 1972
Anything at all from any Alabama unit with Bush's name on it
Any copies of form 44a from the Alabama National Guard certifying attendance
Air Force Form 142 (Aviation Service Audit Worksheet)
Anything proving service (not just receipt of pay) by Bush between May 1972 and May 1973?
(And what is it precisely that the blathering right-wing pundits seem to think is missing from John Kerry's service records?)

AWOL----absent for 30 days or less.
Desertion-----absent for more than 30 days with evidence of no intent to return to duty.
Is he guilty of one or both? You read the facts here and decide.

This is not the story of a search for missing records. We have the pertinent records.

This is not a hunt for credible eyewitnesses and first hand statements. The officers involved have stepped forward. We have their testimony and we have the signed statements of those no longer living.

This is the story of how George Walker Bush walked away from a years duty while in the National Guard.

And, this is the story of how he has thus far gotten away with it.

"I continued flying with my unit for the next several years..."

That statement is an outright LIE, which means the person making it is a LIAR.

George Bush President of the United States is this person. His actions dictate his attitude and his personality. I'm quite surprised his wife Laura hasn't left him yet. But he probably threatens her into remaining his wife. What's really cowardly of President Bush is the fact that he throws our troops lives away like it is nothing....all for his personal hidden agenda to control the entire middle east.

A true sign of immaturity is name calling. Bill Gates dodged the draft. John Wayne dodged the draft by claiming too many children. Mel Gibson went to Australia to dodge the draft. Sylvester Stallone had a work deferment, Abbie Hoffman Resisted the draft, Muhammad Ali refused to go. Call these people cowards?
His actions involving Iraq were set into action many years ago. He is actually only a member of an ad hoc committee. He is advised what to do. No man can make all of the decisions you children give him credit for. Cowardly actions? What are they. Why are you not in Iraq if you are so brave?
I am not an ardent Bush supporter but I am a supporter of intelligent conversation and questions. As such yours does not bare support.

Nancy, this is typical Liberal double talk.

Liberals praise the anti-Vietnam crowd. Back when our boys were headed to Canada to escape the draft, they treated them like heroes in exile. Do you see your hypocrisy?

Bush did not dodge the Vietname War. He was in the National Guard. If the Guard had been called to action, he would have been sent.

I commend you on not repeating your previous "it's" mistake. You are learning fast, and pretty soon you'll be a Conservative (as evidenced by Winston Churchill's statement: "If at 20, you're not a Liberal, you don't have a heart. If at 40 you're not a Conservative, you don't have a brain." I think you'll be smart enough to be a Conservative someday.

However, you misspelled "enlisted". And it's "harm's way".

But you're getting better! Keep posting.

no person president is in charge, as various have been key in American involvement. a million. Truman for preliminary American help to the French, besides as neglecting Ho Chi Minh's circulate. 2. Eisenhower for vast help to the French, then ignoring the Geneva Accords. 3. Kennedy for ramping up help to South Vietnam, without indication of eventual withdrawal. (have not got self belief Oliver Stone on that.) 4. Johnson for escalating the conflict and putting American strive against troops in Vietnam. in case you opt for for one individual in charge for American involvement in Vietnam, that individual is Robert unusual McNamara, secretary of protection below Kennedy and Johnson. McNamara places the blame on Johnson, yet he replaced into the main driving tension.

Bill Clinton
Hillary Clinton
Barak Obama
Joe Biden
Howard Dean
John Ewards

And I sure don't seem to remember anyone on the left ask why Chelsea Clinton hadn't Enlisted when BIll was attacking/invading:

Somolia
Iraq
Serbia
Kosavo
Sudan
Haiti

But then, thats why the majority of veterans in congress are republicans and the majority of the combat veterans in congress are republicans.

So, are YOU a SCUMBAG COWARD for not being in the military? Your male relatives?
The President WAS in the military. Not EVERYONE in the military went to Viet Nam.
Aren't you glad you live in a country where you can throw around filthy names about our country's leader and not be taken out of your bed at night by government troops and never be seen again...like in MANY countries?
By the way, G.W. Bush is an ELECTED PRESIDENT, not a DICTATOR, so throw your uneducated ranting at ALL the officials who have agreed to have our troops overseas...INCLUDING YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILIES WHO VOTED FOR THEM!

Bush was in the National Guard flying Phantoms. National guard units were indeed rotated to Vietnam. However, when he was in the guard the Vietnam war was winding down and Guard pilots were less and less rotated to Vietnam.

You won't find cowards flying high performance fighter jets. I served 22 years in the navy, how about you?

Well, I think you need to leave this country and see how good you actually have it here. Instead of complaining all the time like you liberals like to do, how about doing something to make this world better.
