A community usually refers to a group of people who interact and share certain things as a group. Military personnel have the same life choices in common as far as volunteering to serve, they all answer to a chain of command and most go through the same basic training. It's not to say there aren't any differences but overall, the military is a unified group under one government. They have rules set apart from civilians such as uniforms, presentation, and conduct. They are all in the same boat so to speak. Hope that makes sense to you. Take care.

A community is any group of people who share a common bond. In the military you feel a bond with and have respect for everyone else that wears a military uniform. I served 10 years in the Army and to this day if i meet a new person and discover that they are in the military or was in the military, it's an almost instant friendship.

The military is a small community of its own. On a military installation, we have a Safeway (Commisary), Exxon (Gas Station, Recreation Centers, Elementry Schools, Fishing holes, Footballs stadiums, baseball fields, gyms............on and on. Everyone takes care of each other.

You are not making sence. But on base we are a community. It's like a small town. We have housing, stores, entertainment, hospitals. Each military base is like a small town. Go to one and see for yourself.
