I want a dining experience tonight that is unique to Chicago. Not something that I can find anywhere else in the US. Any suggestions?

Sure, I would suggest Lawery's Steak House, and the Pump Room 2 of many fine restaurants each unquie and excellent.

I would go for the Frontera Grill (excellent authentic Mexican food), Giordano's for pizza, any restaurant in Greek town, Shaw's Crab House for seafood, Coco Pazzo for Italian or you could just do the tourist thing and go to the Hard Rock cafe, Mike Ditka's or the Pump Room. Also, the 95th at the John Hancock was pretty nice the last time I went, which I have to admit was years ago.

I would suggest a Chicago style pizza preferably at Giordanos. Chicago pizza is truely unique.

Lou Malnati's pizza. Nothing like Chicago pizza!

I do second the Pump Room though. I had a friend who worked there. Spectacular food.
