This is usually a faulty resistor board that routes the voltage through it down from the control head. The board is located behind the blower motor under the dash. To check it is simply a matter of checking for the voltage inputs from different switch positions and check the ouputs to the blower motor. These are not too difficult to replace, but not much room to do it. Good luck.

More than likely it is your A/C head unit that is going bad. You may need to bring it in to have tested. Or if you know someone with the same year car as you take theres and try it. If that is not it More than likely the blower motor.
